Harry receives his county badge

On Wednesday 6th September, CBC hosted the County match between RCBBA and Oxfordshire. Harry was a reserve player, but was delighted to be invited to play when one of the Berkshire players did not arrive. To add to his joy, he was on the highest winning rink…..

Harry receives his County badge from Berkshire President David Davies (Thatcham BC), watched by the Oxfordshire President, Bill Jarvie (Chipping Norton BC).

RCBBA FINALS DAY – Windsor & Eton B. C.

About 30 members of Caversham BC turned up on a sunny afternoon to give their support to Harry in the County Unbadged Singles Competition.

Harry Walmsley and Martin O’Connor (Wokingham BC) before their very close match.

Harry started well on a very tricky green, and kept a small lead until dropping a 4 , which levelled the score at 16 – 16. The next few ends were very tense, but Harry managed to ease away again to a 2 shot lead at 20 – 18. Martin scored 1 on the next end, and then followed this up with a 2 to win the match.

So, huge commiserations to Harry, but he is still a winner, having become a County Player.
